Posing naked while pregnant seems to be the thing to do these days, and Tia Mowry has decided to jump on the bandwagon. And while some expectant moms may count the days until their body goes back to its original shape, the former Sister, Sister star says she's loving what pregnancy is doing for her.
"I know that there are people out there who say that there is nothing sexy about being pregnant," the 32-year-old told People.com. "Then there are some people who embrace the sexuality."
Expecting her first child with actor Cory Hardrict on July 3, Mowry says her mom urged her to take the nude shots, having regretted not taking one herself when she was pregnant.
And it seems like mom really did know best.
"I feel empowered; I feel sexy," says Mowry, who admits to being "obsessed" with the photos.
But all is not perfect for the actress, who's in her third semester. Mowry says sleeping has become a challenge due to back pain, and those pesky mom-to-be jitters are playing a part in keeping her up at night.
"They say that the baby should kick 10 times every two hours," she says. "I'm obsessed with counting how many times the baby's kicking. So around one o’clock in the morning I’m counting in my head, not sleeping!"
